Welcome!!

Hello there. This is my very first time blogging, bear with me... I have to do a presentation based on the Scramble For Africa. Later on, if you keep reading, I will tell you what the SFA is. I don't even know yet, what that means. I still need to research and take notes on the Scramble For Africa. Until I have more information, see ya!!

Wealth

Since arriving in Africa, many of the Westerns stole the Native’s land, wealth and used the Natives as their own labor force, committing genocide along the way. A great deal of colonization’s used church missionaries to lie to the Native homeowners, promising them a better future and more wealth than what they had. Of course, these were all lies. They would give gifts and other small trinkets to bribe Tribal leaders (Chieftains) to sell their land and follower’s freedom in exchange for wealth. Gifts/Wealth brought disputes throughout the tribes and broke trust between everyone. Colonists would put tribes in higher rank than others, causing resentment and hatred.

Hi! My topic (colonial india) connects with your topic because the British were in India at the same time. There too they were trying to colonize the people that were thtere. The British "won" in India too, against the European superpower, the French.

Hey!

My topic is the Meiji Restoration. Our topics relate through trying to claim either leadership or land. In your topic there are multiple individuals going for the same thing. In my topic there are groups or individuals fighting against each other for the same thing.
